Kakkadampoyil is one of the small towns in Kozhikode and in Malappuram district. It is located within 40 km away from the Calicut city. It is located on the Western Ghats with an altitude above the sea level that ranges from 700 to 2100m. Many original tribal people resided in this place.


Summer season begins from March to May with the temperature about 400°C. Cold season begins from December to February and it has a temperature of about 150°C. And north east monsoon starts from the month of October to November and south west monsoon starts from the month of June to September.

It is very easy to reach this place through all means of transport. Buses are available from Calicut to Koyilpara or Valanthod.
