Kadalundi River


Kadalundi River is located among the border of Kozhikode and Malappuram district. It covers an area of about 1099 sqkms and it has a length of about 130 kms. It is also called as Oravanpurampuzha and Karimpuzha. The place around the river is commonly called as Kadalundi Nagaram. It is formed by two major branches namely Veliyar and Olipuzha. The Olipuzha River starts flowing from the Cherakkombanmala and the Veliyar River starts from Erattakombanmala. This river joins with the Arabian Sea at Kadalundi estates. In the south side of the river the scene of sunrise and sunset looks amazing. Other attractive place located near the Kadalundi River is Kadalundi bird sanctuary.
